Apparently Nomar is hurt again? And/or something about Ellis?

Nomar lasted, what — an inning? And it seems Ellis has been taken out — gameday seems to imply maybe a pulled hammy running to first?
Crosby at second, Hannahan at third.
Eh, at least we’re no longer losing.
Who’s this “we,” Kimo-sabe?
Identity theft is a prosecutable crime and a likely barrier to bar entry, PT.
Speaking of, PT is posting on Sickels’ SBN blog. We should try reaching out again.
I think mikeA is doing some KRAUTreach this week.
Sadly, my cover is once again all that is blown.
Sounds like my friend’s old quote about CalTech: “The only school where the girls all blow figuratively but not literally”
At least we’ve solved the “Does Crosby bump O-Cab from SS to 2B” question.
Shit. NOW who’s hurt?
If Crosby’s incapacitated, do we get Buck at third?
Eric Patterson stole home today for Sacramento to score the game-winning run.
He’s hitting .333 .450 .561 this year, do they call him up?
If Ellis is on the DL, I imagine they’d have to.
WTF? Another injury delay? Has Hicks salted the infield with landmines for the insurance payouts?
Oh, good: it’s just a pitcher this time.
For those of us still work- and gameday-bound, a little help on injury details?
Brett Anderson has a blister on his finger, pulled for Bailey who was clearly not ready to come in and throw strikes.
Millwood also had finger issues but stayed in the game.
Ellis? Nomar?
And what the heck is wrong with Ryan Sweeney that he’s hitting a home run?
Nomar: strained right calf
Ellis: strained left calf
Both occurred running to 1B.
on the bright side, between them they have a pair of healthy calves
Please, this isn’t ** — no livestock humor.
lol
Thanks.
Huh — maybe the TX heat is a factor? (70 degrees still at 9:00 local time)
It was also revealed that under the Nolan Ryan regime, the Ranges no longer look at pitch counts, at all.
Actually they said the Rangers don’t even keep track of them.
Awe. Some.
Advil and ‘tussin, stop the fussin’.
Ryan has used his administrative acumen to get various assistant GMs to author position papers defending the legality of “enhanced training techniques.”
Are you fucking kidding me?
wha’ happened?
Another injury delay?
Holy cow. Casilla possibly injured?
Eh, Casilla’s TJ surgery waiting to happen.
sure… pure coincidence
But it was his leg, foot-ankle area.
Hopefully it’s not too serious.
Ah.
OK, I’m back to my Hicks-seeding-the-infield-with-land-mines-for-insurance-payouts theory.
Giambi and Holliday both screw up on defense, okay this game is cursed, I’m switching channels.
IGNOMINY CABBAGE
Lettuce prey.
You couldn’t just leaf it alone…
what’s up, AN defectors…
that’s a lot of injuries for one game, even by A’s standards
WHO YOU CALLIN’ DEFECT…
oh.
Who you callin’ defecat…
Wow. That game is possibly the worst game anyone could have imagined. And if the unicorn goes down for any significant time, it spells the end of the A’s barely over .500 playoff hopes. In any case, I hope we can be a little kinder to unicorns with bad legs than we are to horses.
Is there any kind of test I have to pass to comment here btw? Do I demand hush money?
The only good thing about this game is that I turned on CSNCA too late to watch it, and instead saw 5 minutes of a show about Rickey.
effing Mordor. I hate you Texas. Why must you break all our nice things? (Nomar excepted, that one’s on us.)
Once we throw the Ring into the fires of Mt. Doom, the injuries will stop.
Right?
Is there such a thing as a Pyrrhic defeat?
wrong war
Wrong Waterloo.
Why does the French internet suck monkey balls?
And why would a hotel hire a night desk clerk who isn’t allowed to answer the phone before 6am?
